I had all those tests and a colonoscopy and endoscopy as well.
I don't think anybody on here can tell the perfect diet based on all the diagnostic tests. I didn't mean to come off as saying starches are a cure and can be eaten with no limit.
I am curious about where you get calories from, if the carbs are completely off limits. I just went out on a limb and thought it had to be calorically dense meat. I personally get relief leaning towards a modern day asian diet, being vegetable based. I thought that was more like my ancestors because there weren't cows around, the climate was warm for vegetables, and protein was scarce and mainly from the ocean. This gave a lot of relief and I really got to functioning normally by researching the opinions of vegan and ayurveda nutritionists. And I don't think our ancestors had meal replacement shakes and tortillas around. Paleos seem to be anti any type of grain. Since this is the Candida Forum , I wonder why the post was made. Most of us are off dairy because it wasn't what our ancestors had and avoid processed sugar completely. What's in these shakes? I am glad you are super healthy because chips and processed snacks have been out of mine, and a lot of people I met on here's meal plan for a long time. Since this is the candida forum, I wasn't being arrogant in saying that the shakes sound sweet and processed..2 things that I personally avoid.
I will continue to consider a lean diet as the long term cure for candida. After seeing a user post, basically in liver failure, with bruises all over..downing coconut oil and eating meat freely, I saw no problem in sharing my experience and research. You are not alone in being young and having the money to waste on diagnostic tests. I have taken the management of this around the US and overseas and have met a diverse group of opinions on the proper protocol. I will follow the low protein plan for more activity and a better quality of life because I am over the BS western diet of chips, shakes, and meat. It's an experiment that is making people sick. And paleo has some great ideas, but it seems like there is a group of people hiding behind gluttony and crap fatty food choices because somehow their ancestors gathered meat. They get the meat part, but gathering involves getting into the SUV and then using one of those scooters when they get inside the market to load up on all the meat and nuts to regain their health with.
