Licorice helped me a lot when I was really bad since it helps conserve the cortisol your body produces so I took it first thing in the morning. I took a highly concentrated powder I got from Dr. Neville at the Clymer Healing Center.

I don't use it as much now since I am doing the nutritional balancing program and Dr. Larry Wilson does not like it because it is too stimulating and he wants to focus on resting the body so it heals. So if you go the NB route, they will tell you not to use it. I am not sure I agree since it does have so many benefits. I use it now when I have to have energy to get through the day, but at times it does seem to make me a little wired.
