Here's a "for instance" example:

Medical doctors have 3 choices to treat sporotrichosis

Their FIRST choice is the medication called Itraconazole. Their THIRD choice is working up to 3.5-4.5 grams of SSKI and staying on IT for 2-3 months.

(The prescription of sski is to start with 5 drops thrice daily, and work up to 40-50 drops thrice daily, increasing slowly by adding one drop [to tolerance] to reach higher doses. Fifty drops (thrice is 150 per day) is four and a half GRAMS of sski daily.)

Then you stay on that dosage for a couple of months.

Then you titrate back down slowly.

I've also read 4-6 grams of sski. Again, to the individual's tolerance.

Sporotrichosis is a fungal skin disease and occurs more often in people who work with plants, and who have poorer immune systems.
