Yes, distilled water usually does have a slightly acidic PH because of its exposure to the atmosphere, and the absorption of carbon dioxide, and why some people are against its use. I usually resort to the reply that fruits and veggies contain distilled water, and that is what you can eat everyday!!

Pity we cannot keep distilled water within a vacuum and keep that CD out of reach.

I would also add that if a fast begins with the body in an acidic state, or even before the fast, the body will continually strive to neutralize this and achieve a PH equilibrium; this is achieved as you know by the extraction and greater use of electrolytes than would otherwise be the case.

Beginning a fast with a reserve of alkalinity provides the ideal biological condition for a more successful prolonged fast.
It is noteworthy that people who live predominantly on fruit and veggies (alkaline) have a much easier time with detox than those who are meat-eaters (acid-forming).
