Thank you for your responses. I wish I had it out when I first realized it was bad; I probably would still have the life of my life around. I turned into a moody, depressed sad sack.
So far, so good. No problems, no pain when pulling it out. I too hate it when they dismiss the side effects. I am a nurse; I know my body. I would do the para guard again over the evil mirena any day.
