Enzymes helped me. Vitamin C helped me. You might try those. Perhaps even raise your dietary fiber intake.

I just posted that lychee changed my stool to firm (meaning a Bristol type 3). You might give them a try. Strawberries may also be good.

I'm guessing hormonal imbalance may be at the root, though. Anyway, it seemed to be for me. So, resolving that could be most important. I've been testing licorice off and on lately as a way of conserving my cortisol (thanks to arn's repeated suggestion (and my eventual speculation on how it might help and not be bad for high cortisol)).
