Juicing Ahead Questions Anyone??

Hi Everyone,

I am going to be trying to drink a quart of cabbage juice a day for ten days to two weeks. I have seen many instances online of claims of healing stomach ulcers. I have two questions to ask anybody who has done the mason jar trick in order to make it a day or two ahead: I know that I get a lot of foam when juicing greens and probably will with cabbage. Do you make sure to completely scrape that off and be sure it is free of bubbles before squishing it down with the lid?

The second thing that was completely surprising to me: I measured the amount of water the jars would hold and it turns out that when they call it a pint, they are including the space all the way to the very top. In all my canning years, I thought the measured part should be to the bottom of the 'screw on section'.

My cousin told me something that was encouraging as far as the cabbage's ability to heal. She had told me about a friend of hers who accidentally swallowed a corner of those stiff aluminum packs that some pills come in. It totally messed her health up. Later she was close to a health food store and went in and asked for their advise on healing her esophagus. She was on a feeding tube and was not supposed to take anything by mouth. The HFS owner suggested cabbage juice and that she just drink a little bit at a time. She did so and this started her on her path to healing.

It helps to have a first hand story like that for encouragement to drink a quart a day.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
