UPDATE: Local News Source (JSHurricaneNews) is reporting nearly 30 victims have been transported for treatment of mystery illness. 14:55EST

Monmouth County, NJ: For the second time in a week, EMS has responded to what appears to be a mystery medical emergency at the County Courthouse in Monmouth County.

The last such response was last Friday, June 15th, where several people developed respiratory issues and EMS responded. It was later determined that the source of that incident was reported to be a reaction to recent deliveries of oleander flowers at the Courthouse, which can cause shortness of breath, nausea, chest pain, palpitations, rash, and/or dizziness. EMS Units and County HazMat did respond and set up a decontamination effort at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold Township until the source of the symptoms could be assessed.

Today, FNN picked up on yet another incident that had been reported by local news source Jersey Shore Hurricane News where EMS was once again responding to the Courthouse for multiple victims with acute onset of respiratory symptoms. Once again, EMS, HazMat and Fire/Rescue units responded to the Courthouse and set up decontamination at Centra State Medical Center. There has been reportedly ongoing construction projects in the structure, however, there has not been any official comment at the time of this release as to if the construction or a similar situation to last Friday was the cause for the incident today. EMS Command has released all Advanced Life Support Units as of 1:30PM however, EMS supervisors are still on scene.

Given the similarity of acute onset symptoms, there is growing concern by the community as to what could be causing the mystery illness. When more details become known, we will add to this report.
