it is fine that you take a product, IMO, especially if it is an SBO/HSO.

And to be clear, the number of organisms in a product mean little to me... are they alive, dead or dormant? Are they packaged and delivered with their food in order to stay alive if they are packaged *alive*? If they are not, they begin dying off almost as soon as they are *manufactured*. Enteric coatings are a gimmick IMO... they should be able to survive changes in pH and temperature to a point.

If the strains packaged with the enteric coatings cannot survive stomach acids, they may not survive your intestines, dependent upon the *terrain* in your intestines.

I like spore delivery systems, though some companies make them sound like a bad thing - this is the way competitive advertising works; just like a political campaign - bash the competition.

Do your research and choose your path.

The very best, is if you have the time and resources is to get them out of your own garden; out of land that has a rotated land use. For example, the chickens, goats, what have you have fertilized the land and repopulated the micro organisms with their waste - the land rests a year after that, then plant.

Other great options are to make your own fermented and cultured foods, raw dairy, etc. Dairy/water kefir, yogurt, homemade cultured cheeses, sour cream, and butter, kombucha.

Even homemade, unpasteurized, unfiltered, beers, meads, and wines.
