Pain in Shoulders

Here I am again. Whew. Getting old is not for sissys.

About two months ago I started feel an sharp and unpleasent pain in my right shoulder when I reached up (and backwards) to turn off my clock radio. I had been in some rather heavy chiropractic therapy for over a month by then. I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not...but as the therapy went on...the shoulder kept getting worse.

I was doing the chiro because I had two minor lower back injuries...and becuase my back had been feeling sore when I woke up in the morning...especally my upper back.

Then my ribs started to hurt...in fact the adjustments kept getting more and more uncomfortable until I finally realized that the chiro was to intense for me. This is because he moved my bones more then any chiro I ever experienced before and since I have been walking with a limp for 50 years, (and still do) it was too much change for my body. (To make a long story short.)

I stopped the chiro... and my ribs got better right away, but the shoulder got worse. Mostly it hurts with diagonal movements...washing the left side of my body, reaching behind me...certain twisting movements. I can carry things and do normal stuff OK. It also hurts to sleep on that side.

I started taking Bromelain, tumeric, sulphur and Essaic tea. They helped, but not much. (Although I cured my insomia big time.)

I started taking glucosamine sulfate...it helped more...but still there is pain. My spine, in general feels great now...no pain when I wake up...but the shoulder still hurts...in fact, I feel traces of the same problem in my other shoulder. (Yipes)

I also feel twinges on a bad day and crampy pain in my upper arm...and painful tension in my lower arm upon massage. This is really weird.

Any ideas of what this is? Could it be tendonitis brought on the the chiro and now living a life of its own?
