I believe I also wrote that ozone extracts a different set of alkaloids. The best way to use Ozone was to first ozonate then add Vodka..but it was not as good as methanol.

Obviously no one in the 1600s used Methanol to extract herbs. So I went back to old stuff I had run into where a compound extracted via Elixir was always more potent than lets say tincture.
Elixir is simple herbed Mead, a combo of alcohol and CO2 create the same extraction mode as Methanol, are non toxic and taste great... :)
This is because Nat Gas is the most used feedstock for Methanol creation and its loaded with CO2: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methanol#Production_of_methanol_from_synthesis_gas


Of course you got to wait for the alcohol and CO2 to build up via fermentation. So what if???


Untested Sodastream method:
- cool distilled or RO water in Sodastream bottle to near freezing
- 1L wide mouth mason jar filled with tincture amount of Verbena
- add 300ml Vodka (40%) or 150ml Everclear into the jar
- weigh down the herbs somehow, polished stone or ceramic
- over-charge your ice cold water and immediately fill jar and seal
- shake, should be able to extract all in 4-6 hrs

That amount of vodka will also stop it from going bad for long term storage.
