In experimenting with black berries I read that "they" (authors) suggest 1/2 of the blooms be trimmed away (pruned)....

Naturally this would give larger fruits and avoid drying up of the fruits before they ripen, but they pretty much say the same about grapes as well and I have seen amish allow grapevines grow completely around a house and do just fine.
So my black berries started drying up, just like authors claimed they would because I didn't prune them and jus as I figured, the plants just want more WATER to support their huge amounts of fruit...so with irrigation, I believe no pruning is needed.
I beleive this week to be the black berries absolute prime time.....and have been amazed how they have been ripening for the past 3 weeks and looks like they will be producing fruit for another 2 weeks.
The boy's pet chickens have started laying eggs, today was the most at 9 eggs, idealy in a few more wees they will be collecting 4 or so dozen daily and can sell some along the road side with a sign.....even though, quite a few of the locals also have a few chickens making it difficult to even collect enough $$$ to cover feed expense....
