Bright blue flash of light in my house

Hi All,

As I’m new to the board, I thought I’d share my personal experience. Last year around Easter time, I was sitting at my parents’ house (they live in the countryside, by the coast, not too remote) in the lounge. I was expecting a friend to come around so I was just chatting to my sister.

When the doorbell rang, I got up to go to the front door. In the hall way, in a split second, the whole house lit up in a bright blue bolt of light. From my perspective it looked like it came from outside. When I opened the door, my friend asked me what that was, referring to the light. I said it must have been lightening, but then he said there was no way it could have been lightning because it came from inside the house. As he stood outside, he could see all the windows in the house light up in a flash of intense bright blue light!

For a few hours after the event, we were all highly statically charged, receiving a small electrical shock whenever we touched anything!!

I’m sure as we all are, I’m trying to make sense of this. It would be great if you guys could let me know if you’ve had similar experience to this! Also, as part of a wider project. I’m making a fiction film about how people cope with an alien abduction.
