Unfortunately, alcohol is not allowed per the book. Have you read the book? It is really helpful and tells you the importance of following the cleanse exactly. Just try for the minimum 10 days. Make sure that your motives and goals are settled in your mind before you decide to throw in the towel and have a drink. 10 days is a small chunk out of our lifetime. I know you can do it. The Master Cleanse leaves little room for deviation for very good reasons. Alcohol will only slow down the process and your last couple of days of being so diligent might go down the toilet.(No pun intended) Hang in there. We all come across temptations. That is why this forum is here, to support you in your endeavor to be healthy once and for all. Give yourself a good self-talk about why you are doing this cleanse before you go out with your friends. If they are really good friends, they might be willing to support you in this. Don't give up! We will try to help you succeed.

Let us know how you did. It is good for all of us to read how others get thru tough times. It encourages us too. I am no expert, but If I fall down, I just get back up as soon as I can and carry on. Never give up.
