To all with REFLEX SYMPATHETIC DYSTROPHY:
I have had RSD(CRPS) in my lower left extremity since 2000 and have been struggling with it tremendously!! I have tried all the nerve blocks and have not had too much success with that approach. I was hospitalized on one occasion for 13 days. I have however found a few things to assist me. Number 1: try to keep a positive attitude Number 2: try to appreciate the small things in life that bring you joy & harness that wonderful feeling (i.e. if you enjoy the smell of morning coffee, the song of birds in the morning, the sight of children playing outside, the feel of a nuturing pet) Number 3: surround yourself with positive influences (i.e. positive books on tape to listen to, guided imagery cds such as those provided by Belleruth Napperstack for Pain, search for individuals with RSD(CRPS) and correspond with them) Number 4: try to remember the saying "if you look for the bad you will surely find it" and instead look for the good that you can do Number 5: each morning say "get up, get moving, get going!" Number 6: try a homeopathic approach *Remember You CAN Be Your Best!*
