Re: A white tongue possibility?

i've had a white tongue coating for several months now. I put it down to stress and varying sleep patterns. The morning is worst, usually with a coating which tastes sour and if scraped off smells disgusting. Typing 'white tongue' and 'cause' into google brings up several hits for a US-based clinic/company called 'TheraBreath'. This site is v. professional and generally concludes that this (at least in my case) is likely to be a viral/bacterial infection within the tongue itself. The bacteria can't survive in a oxygenated environment (hence morning problem after mouth closed all night) so they say and thus suggest their product's use indefinitely (if you stop using, it will return apparently).
