I'm very glad I just read your message. I'm from Dublin in Ireland and I just got an ultra sound scan today which showed up a gallstone.

My doctor, who sent me for the scan supecting a gallstone, hasn't yet seen the result. But before the scan, without even knowing if I had stones, nor how big they might be, said that if I have them "we'll just whip out your gall bladder".

I asked if there was any downside to that and he simply said there's always a potential downside to anyhthing, some people get a little diorrhea!

He never explained anything like what happened to you, nor offerred any other options such as liver flushes which I've just read about.

I now know that no matter what I'm not getting the bladder out.

Thank you very much for sharing your information. I'm sure you've actually saved quite a number of people from the fate your suffering.
