EZ: Yes please direct me to some textbooks which tell me that chewing activates the enzymes in food. I presume the textbook will tell me which enzymes are activated and which ones are not.



Garcia: Are you saying that raw foods do not contain enzymes? In which case you are clearly wrong.

Or are you saying that they don't participate in the digestive process - in which case prove it.

EZ: I did not say raw foods do not contain enzymes. The contain thousands of enzyme critical for the survival of whatever species the food source being considered si derived from. Nearly all proteins are enzymes and all enzymes are proteins! I am saying quite emphatically that the enzymes found in foods are not digestive enzymes and are not necessary and do not participate in teh digestive process. Proving or even considering proving a negative is ridiculous....the burden of proof lies with the person making the claim that food derived digestive enzymes are necessary for human digestion...the ball is in your court! Remember I said I could name all of the digestive enzymes and how they function and all that other stuff...you have been asked to provide the name of a single enzyme derived from food which participates in the digestive process...so far nada!!

Proving a negative is ridiculous what is however more pertenent is that I can provide information on how the human digestive system works. You make claims that enzymes derived from foods are essential and/or participate in the digestive process. You need to provide the information on the name of these enzymes (there are thousands in foods) and how they participate in the digestive process. You also shoulder the burden of proof in describing how the body detects these foreign enzymes to prevent the human body from wasting energy and producin the enzymes themselves. So what we have here is a I'll back up my claims on the human digestive enzymes while you'll have to do it for the raw foods portion...that is if you have a modicom of knowledge of how the digestive system works!

EZ: If it is so obvious why are you having a difficult time grasping the process? You need to describe how the body detects the foreign enzymes and communicates this information to the organs involved in the digestive process...good luck!
