Re: messiah in Islam- Jesus is the Messiah,yes.

This is where we have differeing views.
We are told in the Quran, Gods Final Revelation, that the Almighty raised Prophet Jesus up into the Heavens to be with God.
(Like in Christianity, sitting at the right of God)
And like Christianity we know Jesus will come again to the Earth.
We will all be happy after this because, there will be a great Trial from the antiChrist- and Prophet Jesus will kill him on the spot. After that there will be peace and happiness on earth for a while.
As a side note we do beleive Prophet Jesus will come back to what is now known as the area of Damascus.
We have many more detailed accounts as well. Its quite interesting.
Also we beleive Everyone will be raised up. All of us, and then stand before God on the Day of Judgement. NO one will be able to do anything on that Day.(unless given permission by God)
This Day is known as the Day of Torment.
