Is a vegetarian diet good for everyone?

I hope you are keeping well.
I love your books and am gradually putting the principles into practice, I do the daily massage, yoga, go to bed earlier and eat my main meal at midday. I am, however, having some difficulty with the diet.
I am a Vata-Pitta type and have always had a strong appetite. I don't know if this is to do with my low blood sugar problem, but I have been following the Potatoes not Prozac Diet, which includes protein with each meal to balance it (also the Type O Blood Type Diet). So it is a change to follow a vegetarian diet. I have no problem sticking to a diet, and I believe your theories on why this is best for my body. However, my problem is that I feel really hungry if I omit protein foods, and get mood swings and fatigue. Yesterday, I had cooked oatmeal for breakfast, lunch of white basmati rice, to which I added cooked veg, raisins, almonds and ghee, but by 4 o'clock I was literally STARVING, and felt tired and irritable. No amount of healthy snacks could satisfy my hunger, I had some almonds and rice cakes, but eventually gave up and had a chicken sandwich! Then I felt better.
I read your last post on how your problems disappeared on switching to a vegan diet, but I am wondering if you have had any case of someone just not being suited to a vegetarian diet? Are you perhaps a Type A? Or do you have any tips on what I can eat for blood sugar that will keep hunger at bay? I am not overweight but don't want to overeat either. Lentils and beans are about the only thing that keep me full for hours. I try to stay away from potatoes as a Vata type.
