There are generally two contributing factors when the bowel is not producing a bowel movement for every major meal (2-3 times daily), and those are:
---lack of peristalsis (the squeezing action of the muscles in the intestines)
---a 'thickening' or blockage in the colon (which almost always is caused by layers and layers of "mucoid plaque"...which is simply hardened, decaying fecal matter)

The presence of the mucoid plaque will call the colon to not be able to squeeze effectively.

There are two different products on the market ( Oxypowder and Colossan) that claim to eliminate buildup in the colon without the use of fiber. They work by combining oxygen with some form of magnesium, which somehow liquifies the buildup and fecal matter.

They are not something that I commonly recommend, because I personally prefer fiber/herbal based products, and I want to see/know what is coming out of me, so I can know for sure what caused the problem, and whether or not the product is having the effect I'm hoping to see.

The Master Cleanse (lemonade fast) is a FABULOUS way to colon cleanse, deeply and thoroughly without the use of fibers.

There are many herbal blends of liquids, tinctures, teas and capsule that will increase the peristaltic action of the colon. And sometimes that squeezing combined with a simple salt-water flush (2 teaspoon of Celtic/Sea/Himalayan Salt combined with a quart of water), will reduce or eliminate the build up.

If I may ask, why are you avoiding fiber/psyllium? I realize some people just don't like the way it feels mixed in fluids, others don't want to drink the necessary amounts of water it requires when taking it...but some have genuine problems with using it. Fiber is one of the best/easiest ways to eliminate buildup in the colon, so that's why I ask...not because I'm being judgmental or trying to "push" fiber/psyllium.
