Re: Dr. xxxxx who injured me with Prolotherapy

I wanted to let everyone reading this know that, in my opinion, Dr. xxxxx is not a bad doctor in any way and that prolotherapy works. I had my first session with him on June 1st and was already noticing improvement two days later. I felt extremely comfortable with him from the first time I met him.

They are very clear from the very beginning that insurance usually doesn't cover it (it also states that on his website)

I believe he truly wants to help people and is NOT in it for the money. The injections were not very painful at all and definitely worth it. I was stiff and a little sore for two days, but that's it. I'm thinking of asking him to increase the dose next time. I can already walk more normal and sleep better. It sickens me to think that other people who could feel this kind of relief chose not to try prolotherapy because of a story written by one person. I looked long and hard to find reports of negative outcomes from prolotherapy before I had it done and this was the only one I could find (ironically involving the same doctor I had my appointment with). Luckily, I didn't let it discourage me from having the prolotherapy done. Other than this story, I have read nothing but positive outcomes from it. There are as many different medical problems out there as there are personalities. Are you going to believe one person whom you've never met and know nothing about, or the hundreds, if not thousands, of positive reports on the internet from people whose lives have been transformed by prolotherapy? Just a thought. All I can say is that it worked for me and I would recommend it to anyone who has joint or muscle problems.
