Hello there,
The ambiguity in the Word is intentional. It is God's way of keeping the unworthy out. He wants us to work for our manna. Sound familiar??? Just as the word used in the account was "offering" and later revealed that it was in fact a sacrifice, the curse of the ground, in that sentence structure is later revealed at the time of the flood, when the curse of the ground was lifted. The curse was placed on Adam for taking what did not belong to him. The tree of knowledge was forbidden territory. Therefore God expanded those borders a bit, to include the garden in it's entirity.
We can deduce that "The curse of the ground" implies, being removed from the garden and relocated to the world. Poor old Adam was no longer going to just harvest. In order for him to reap, he would now have to sow. That must have been where Cain learned the trade, don't you think?
Now Abel was a shepherd, A VEGITARIAN shepherd to be precise. It is this extracted information that leads us in the proper direction, so as to deduce that god had revealed to the sons of Adam {which is what we are all called, by the way}, the concept of redemption. For Abel pleased the Lord by doing what was right, and Cain did not.
Cain was the first born son of fallen Man. And what God wanted from him was a blood sacrifice to atone for sin. So look!!! at the wonderful Word of the Lord!!! The chosen people of God were to offer up blood sacrifices to atone for their sin. Hmmm, I know I've read that somewhere. Can you believe the Christian Church has taken two thousand years to make that connection. It was right there all along.
Anyway, the curse of Cain was on cain, and not on the ground, as the chosen people were never mentioned to have had any ground issues. The curse on Cain was for the murder of his brother, which was prompted by God's being displeased with Cain's offering. Cain would have had to go to his LITTLE brother to acquire what was necessary in order that he please God. No no no no, that won't do at all, after all, I am the first in line. I will offer the best that I have, me, that's right, over here Lordo. We are just going to do things my way!!!
God was not happy, though He still gave him another chance.
"Then the Lord said to Cain, why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right then sin is crouching at your door; It desires to have you but you must master it."
So after the embarrassing offering incident, God is telling him that he must go and ask baby brother for a firstling, and get this thing done proper. MMMMMMMMNNNNNNOPE, I'm just gonna kill him. You want a blood sacrifice? There's your blood sacrifice. Have a great day.
What is it, that they say? hindsight is 20/20. If you're planning to have a piddlin' contest with someone, it's probably a good idea to see who has the higher ground.
" Then Noah built an aalter to the Lord, and taking some of all the clean animals, and clean birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it. The Lord smelled the pleasing aroma and said in His heart: Never again will I curse the ground because of Man, even though every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood, and never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done."
Genesis 8:20-21 of the Hebrew interlinear Bible.
The true child of God must realize that The Word has been distorted low these 2000 years. It is indeed sad that the leaders of Gods flock have distorted His Holy Word.
The punishment that God will exact on them will be devastating. However The Word is written in such an incredible fashion, that the discerning student can reason his way through their baloney.
I hope that I was helpful to you in your quest. Christian love to you 44031
Mr. Steve
