Strange sensation in ear after H2O2

I recently got my 35% food grade H2O2. Prior to yesterday, I'd only had one drop in water and done a few topical applications. Last night, I took 1 drop orally in a cup of water and applied 2 drops (in water) on my skin. About an hour later, I started to experience a strange sensation in my left ear. It was like a loud pulse or soft thud but more irregular - a bit like when one of your muscles starts twitching for no apparent reason. I must say though, it did feel like there was something right next to my ear drum, thrashing around or trying to chew through the drum itself - but there's probably a perfectly good non-bug related explanation for it (my boyfriend thinks I've lost the plot!!). To start with, there was one thud every 30 seconds or so but the frequency quickly increased to about 3 a second and continued for a couple of hours until I went to bed. Each thudding sensation was also accompanied by a mini head-rush much like when you yawn but not so strong that I wasn't able to concentrate (I would have been reluctant to drive or go out while it was happening though). I used a zapper by my ear and the frequency seemed to decrease a little. Sometimes it would stop for 30 seconds and I'd think it had stopped for good then it would come back with high frequency like it had never stopped. There was no pain, it was just extremely disconcerting and I was almost convinced that I was going to find a bug of some description on my pillow this morning.

I'll point out here that about 4 years ago I developed a strange thing with my left ear. Basically, when I sleep on my left side, on the ear itself, I start to develop ear ache very quickly (after about 10 minutes of being on that ear)- the pain is within the ear, not on the ear lobe itself. If I'm asleep, it will wake me up and I'll have to turn over to stop the pain. I saw an ENT specialist a couple of years ago, but an examination revealed that there was nothing out of order as far as he could tell. I haven't had sinus problems and I've never really been able to work out what that one was about. A kinesiologist did once tell me that I had candida in my ear so I don't know whether that could have caused the sensations I've experienced. Today - although the thuding has stopped, I still have pain when I lie on my left ear.

Has anyone come across anything like this before?? What do you reckon it was?
