Re: Ascaris

Thank you for all of your thoughtful responses! I was in Pakistan last summer, although I feel that the probable cause is the many cats and dogs that my mother keeps-we live together in the same house-she has quite a cat collection that I don't let into my portion of the house, but they do get in anyway, from time to time. I have started cooking and storing food-and washing my dishes-separately in my own kitchen because I can't convince her that the same dishes and utensils should not be used for pets and people. She takes in a lot of animals so who knows what is in that house! She is one hundred percent a slave to conventional medicine. I wouldn't even bother to tell her about this Ascaris I passed, it would cause more trouble than it is worth, because my ideas and my solutions are the last things she will ever endorse. We are going to sell that house and I am really looking forward to having a sane place to live. I, too, worry that I have a lot more of those ascaris critters running around inside of me. Can they be successfully eliminated? Does anyone know how they are transmitted? I would be interested to know.
