i'd have a blood lab check up and see if it can indicate any type of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
my son was just diagnosed and we are glad to say that with diet (letting him be a kid on occassion) has really helped his issues!
this is why nothing we tried as far as medication really worked, he is lacking an enzyme in the intestine that is supposed to regulate the serritonin in the brain.
we have him on nothing organic (too expensive and there are still chemicals used on that stuff), so we just purchase fresh or frozen and even grow some stuff ourselves.
anyway...sugar seems to be an issue as well as junk food, so see if you can alter the way he eats by adding more fruit and veggies. brandon still eats meat, but less red meat. he gets his protein mainly from chicken. no soy, it is not good for the thyroid and the "mones" in it resemble female hormones, and it can cause some issues as well.
jmo...but it works for brandon who is 12!
