Father Bad Camp Counsellor!

Last night I dreamt my father and I were both camp counsellors at a "kids" camp, however the "kids" were really adults. It was a very challenging camp, a little like my yoga training actually. My father's job (I don't remember mine) was to take the "kids" out boating. After a few days, the senior staff started approaching me to say, "you have to do something about your father, he's in a bad mood all the time, gruff with the kids, and he doesn't seem to want to be here". I told the staff that my father had "just had a stroke in November" and that they should cut him some slack.

I went to speak with my father and he complained that he was having problems with the motors and the boats often wouldn't start...he was frustrated. I told him that his job was to make sure that the "kids" enjoyed themselves and that if he couldn't get the boat to work, he'd have to accept that and make sure that the kids were happy anyway. I was very loving but stern with him. I asked him if he wanted me to spend some more time with him and to help him to relax. He said yes, so I started to spend more time with him everyday.

I'd be very curious to know what you think of this dream. This dream is different for me because my father is in it. BTW my father has not had a stroke.

I'm finding that there are two types of dreams that I have routinely and I'm wondering, in general, what they might mean. The first is that I continually dream about teaching (often yoga), but I'm an instructor in an unusual situation (outdoors or another country etc.). The second dream is that I am shopping and taking great care to examine the merchandise or items before I decide to purchase. Lately I've been dreaming about buying things imported from India (I have some background here), clothes jewellery etc. I'm thinking to myself, "I don't often get to buy things so I have to be sure".

That's it...teaching, shopping, teaching, shopping....!
