If you want it to work properly try it the way it was suggested. I know it's hard but listen. I did the fast in September of 2002. I read the book twice before doing it and I was so determined to do it that I followed the directions to the T. I did 10 days and came off the fast as it was suggested and I walked away with a healthy colon and I lost 22 lbs. so if you walk away it will be your loss..it's worth it to do it right the first time. I am trying it for the second time and having a harder time than the first. I made it to 6 days yesterday and felt as if I was coming down with the flu..dizzy, headache and blurred vision so what did I do? Eat! listening to my co workers who don't agree with not eating for 10 days so now I have to start all over again with out any suggestions from anyone who hasn't done this before.
