Good question.

I dont see how it could affect gallstone production or the liver or even really the digestion system at all unless 1. you eat it or 2. it contains some bad chemicals which your liver will have to filter. I would be more concerned of the effects on the lungs rather than the digestive system - making sure the method of intake is the best possible for your lungs.

I have attached two links one saying there is no evidence to suggest any liver probs and the other just interesting about male fertility. The fertility link I find interesting because I always wondered if the user is stone then wouldnt the little spermies be too. lol They would be running around not sure of what they are doing. There is a lot of research on the net about this so perhaps just do a search to cover your bases.

Marijuana does lower your immune system and specifically lowers the white blood cells and other fighting cells. I guess if you think about - if you get stoned then basically all your organs, blood, cells, fighters etc would all get stoned too since your blood flows everywhere. I have candida and so abstein for the fact of lowering my immune system and also I dont want to get the munchies - that would not be good.

Just for your own information mary jane is known to assist with multiple sclerosis and in some countries 1 plant is allowed to grown by MS sufferers for this purpose (when normally it is illegal).
