You're right; you do have a sexual addiction problem. Some people find it hard to believe that you can be just addicted to sex as you can food, drugs or booze. You can get just as high from having sex as you can from shooting drugs. Afer all, an addiction is an addiction.

In my experience, sexual addiction is a self-esteem issue. If you take a look inside yourself, you will, in all likelihood, find a lack of self esteem.

I have attended Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous meetings and to a person, they all have a deep rooted self esteem issue that plagues them and is really the cause of their problem. For some it manifests itself through drugs or booze but with you it's sex.

The fact you recognize you have a problem is the first step. What you have to decide is whether you really want to stop your sexual behavior or do you want to play it out for awhile. Make no mistake, it is difficult to quit. Those who suggest you can turn it off like a light switch, have no real understanding of the problem. It takes a lot of work on your part and you need help from people who have gone through it.
