My father cheated on my mother when I was seven years old, their marraige ended. I believe that a lot of women who do have one night stands with married men do so because they know that there are not going to be any strings attached, he has a family and therefore she can have sex with him without haveing to worry about taking care of him (laundry, cooking, cleaning) She can allow him to date her, buy her gifts, act like a boyfriend but in the end know that she will not have to deal with his less attractive side (that being the wife) That being said some wemon actually do expect the man who most likely is telling them that they are in an unhappy marraige - is going to leave his family. What men who have daughters need to understand is that cheating like this hurts the childs self worth as a women and takes away their ability to know their own worth as a female. It is selfish but the motives are for thier own self satisfaction, choosing not to think of the consiquences of their actions, only thinking of their own self serving pleasure. Men cheat for the same reason, they want to have the romance without the work- They want to feel that hot passion that often comes when discovering someone new, but they are not interested in commiting. Sometimes they get confused and believe that they are in love all over again, only to find that they take the same problems they had with their previous relationships with them and have to start over again working those issues plus guilt plus baggage into the next relationship. I still have self-esteem issues a gift from my father who still to this day will not admit what was totally obviouse to me even at 7 years of age, how could he leave us like that? Hope this gives you some understanding, as this is all I can gather.
