I read your message and I totally understand your concern. I have been very afraid of this disease ever since my aunt got the disease a few years back. I did not get it right away though, I inherited a blood clotting disease first and then three years ago I got colitus. Some symptoms that I noticed first was just small amounts of blood, discolouring of the stool, pain in the stomach area b/f you have to go. And I think the smell you were referring to is almost a metalic smell. it is the same smell some people get on their breathe from the disease. I know everyone is different though so I am not sure if anything I was feeling or experiencing will help. I hope it does though and I wish you the very best. Just remember to always respect your body, pay attention to what your body is telling you, and trust your intincts. Doctors do not know everything so stay positive and confide in others. All the best for all of us. Best of luck. I hope that they find a cure and you never have to worry about his disease.
