I am trying to understand if muslims were supposed to be called back to God, why then the need for another book, why not just a call back to the bible?

So do muslims believe Christ was prophet then what do they believe about Christ saying in John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
and:
And this: John 6:38 "Because I have come down from heaven to do, not my will, but the will of him who sent me"
