sect schmect

everyone in christendom is a member of a sect. lets quit bandying words around and cut to the chase.

there is really very few words that we have been given that we can count on as being true. it is called the bible. now that might not be all, and it definitely has been tampered with to some extent, but it is what we have as a basis for what we believe. i quoted you very clearly from the writings of john, the disciple closest to jesus. if he doesnt know, then who does? and he says there is the father and there is the son, and he goes into detail about that relationship. you can quote scripture all day and to me it will say one thing and to you it will say quite the opposite. can you imagine how that can be?

i have learned to take, as they clearly state, the scriptures as a whole. it is a seamless garment to be worn or put on by the believer. this is accomplished by following in jesus footsteps. by doing this, the father gives his approval and reveals to us the meaning of his word. there is no shortcut. it is foolproof in that the understanding is given after the obedience is accomplished. again, simple so a child can get it.

there is nothing complicated about life. god created man upright, but he has sought out many devices. these devices of man have obscured the truth and bog down the spirit in a pit of confusion and iniquity. there are many who will be able to rightfully say they were lost in this life and could not find their way. who can blame them. but for those who claim they have the answers, it behooves them to be sure that they really do.

yes, you rightly perceive that i have little to do with christianity. i know too much to be that wrong.
