A good rule of thumb to remember is that,...'the world is backwards'. What that means is that the truth of reality is seen more clearly if we are objective. The human way of understanding anything is SUBJECTIVE (emotional) and we end up taking into account our desires and goals whenever we make a decision or arrive at a solution (sloppy and ineffective decision making). The Lord says that human nature is human folly (foolishness) because of that built-in weakness of being emotional, but we are not to stop being emotional (just not EXCESSIVELY) because that is our finite (mortal) way of LOVING (we simply don't have the same abilities as God, we are limited and fallible). This is not a spiritual world (where the truth is straightforward and obvious), this is the PHYSICAL world, so,...the world is backwards.
If anyone dares to doubt and challenge the 'status quo' (accepted norm), God is teaching them well and they are learning well IF they are truly sincere and of pure heart, NOT rebellious. As long as that person is willing to listen TO THE LORD (pastors and others can offer other points of view, but who do you want to be your teacher? He is a jealous God. Pastors unite the brethren in service, but I choose The Spirit as my teacher, that's my PERSONAL relationship and devotion) and remains humble enough to learn from The Lord, then the simple wisdom of only believing what actually makes sense to you, such as,...
Does it make sense that there are TYPES of love...agape, philos, eros and storge? Remember, "God is love"...are there also 4 types of God? 4 types of hate? Common sense tells us that love is simply an attitude (singular) of mind. God is ONE (Galatians 3:20). Father (creation), Son (salvation), Holy Ghost (personal relationship) are the three manifestations of God's grace, but God is only 'one' (INTEGRAL). The proper understanding of what God is (love) is fundamental to a genuine personal relationship with Him. The god of confusion works by preventing us from thinking objectively.
Doubting means that you have not been satisfied by simple regimentation, partisanship, bureaucracy and scholarly achievement. You have learned well to "...turn your laughter to tears..." (James 4:9) because there are so many people in the world that suffer evil and your compassion has caused you to learn sorrow from The Lord instead of how to speak eloquently on Sunday with the 'IN crowd'. Jesus was sent by The Father to perform the mission of atonement, but the Jews wouldn't have killed Jesus if He wasn't questioning the status quo. In the same fashion (BUT TO A CERTAIN POINT, NO rebelliousness), we should be careful to avoid the worldly ways.
Be the offspring of I AM (when The Lord spoke to Moses).
