Ok, ok, I called Sota today (grrr having to wait 2 days to do so) and they explained that the unit is shipped in 3 packages intentionally. Customer service rep: A+ rating for her tone and quick explanation (wish I was told when I ordered, but I didn't order direct). The unit is awesome, and the little rubber feet on the underside to keep it from slipping off my desk is a fine example of the quality.
