Re: Leave or stay?

I have several thoughts on this...

#1 Divorce will do untold damage to your children. It will affect them negatively for the rest of their lives. You do NOT want to go there if you can at all avoid it.

#2 I'm a bit curious as to why you would be with a woman who has cheated before. I would like to know if you really think that you are so special that once she has you all to herself, she won't go out and cheat on you. After all the damage is done...she'll go on to the next thrill and you'll be left holding the damaged goods. (not that you wouldn't deserve it) This woman has no investment in your children...emotional or otherwise. If she had any scruples she would have not gotten in so deep with you.

#3 Love is a choice. We choose who we love and make a conscious decision. You may not be attracted physically to your wife but you certainly have loads of good to say about her. Try spending some time talking and bonding with her...you'd be surprised at what closeness that would bring. Who knows where it can go from there? In choosing to have an affair you took the easy way out of dealing with problems.

I'm always amused by those who say "go for it...you only live once and you deserve to be happy." These people go through life bulldozing anything and anyone in front of them and wonder why they are never happy. You need to understand that your actions have and will affect those you love forever. You need to think long and hard and perhaps sacrifice what you think may make you happy for something more honorable.

And lastly, do you really want to leave something that, "other than the lack of passion" is essentially good for a relationship which from the very beginning has been based on a lie and cheating? Doesn't sound promising to me.
