On my first MC I lost about 9 pounds and gained 3 back in the week following, due to the amount of food in my intestinal tract and water weight. I was able to keep the other 6 off once I went back to eating (I do follow a healthy diet). You will gain a couple of pounds back simply because you will have food in your stomach and intestines while eating, however, you do actually lose some fat/waste while on the MC and this only comes back if you go back to old habits that caused the weight gain in the first place. Am I making any sense? I hope this answers your question! And remember that there are lots of other benefits to cleansing besides the weight loss.
