  The sun is completely harmless unless we expose our bodies to it for unduly long periods of time, especially between 10am and 3pm (during the summer). Overexposure to sunlight makes most people feel very hot and bothered and burns their skin. To avoid being burnt and to find relief, our body’s natural instinct urges us to look for a shady place or to take a cold shower. Sunscreens, however, interfere with our natural response to sunlight.

• Fecal flora replacement
  The human fecal flora is a complex mix of organisms and is arguably the largest organ of the body, containing in a compact mass of living bacterial cells almost nine times more living cells than does the entire body (14). Given the bacteriacidal nature of fecal flora, as judged by the >95% cure of C. difficile, it is instructive to realize that C. difficile may be but one of many implanted infective agents mediating chronic GI disease. As H. pylori was found to be the infective cause of ulcer disease, so chronic clostridial (or other) infections may cause a portion of chronic GI disorders such as constipation, IBS, or IBD. Indeed, constipation responds to vancomycin (15, 16) and to fecal flora therapy (17, 18) as does IBS (5, 19). Ulcerative colitis (UC) has also been reported to go into prolonged remission after fecal flora infusion (20). We have confirmed this finding in our own prospective series of now seven patients with severe UC, five of whom remain in clinical remission without therapy 1-10 yr after treatment (19). In these conditions, no specific bacterial pathogens have yet been demonstrated. Similarly, when Eiseman et al. (3) treated his four PMC cases in 1957, C. difficile had not been discovered—yet the therapy was successful. This very finding teaches us that we can use bacteriotherapy to treat enteric infections without necessarily identifying the pathogen. Fecal bacteria home in on the pathogen, apparently because of their broad-spectrum activity. Hence, when the bacterial species is unknown, fecal bacteria can still dissect out the pathogen without the need to detect and diagnose the infection. Although scientifically it is satisfying to recognize the pathogen, strictly speaking this is not necessary. It is therefore feasible that progress in IBS/IBD treatment discovery could spring from a successful therapy rather than from pathogen identification.

  Maybe our world is the one that is sick if we have to drug our children to make them behave the way society wants them to behave? Some behavior changes associated with ADD/ADHD might be attained though dietary changes and helped with dietary supplements. Parenting education might also help parents learn about their children's learning style and maybe help parents learn to overcome their desire to force their children to be like the other children around them? I was one of those kids, when I was growing up, but I never used drugs of any kind. I didn't fit into the world of public school because it was boring and nothing more than a baby-sitting service... I used my extra energy to throw three paper routes and maintain a motorcycle, take flying lessons (that I paid for) and ride my motorcycle every day. What I did do was learn to fly airplanes and get a license to fly solo by the time I was 16. If I was drugged into submission as a child, I am sure I might have done better in school but I might never have become the person I am now.

• Antibiotics May Increase Allergies, Asthma
  "Over the past four decades there has been an explosive increase in allergy and asthma in westernized countries, which correlates with  widespread use of antibiotics ...," says researcher Mairi Noverr,  with the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, in a news release.  Antibiotics increase the growth of the yeast Candida albicans in the gut, Noverr explains. It is a common side effect of antibiotic use  and previous studies show that this change in the gut could increase allergies.

  When ingesting certain foods that your body cannot really make use of (junk food, overly processed, refined, fried, microwave-cooked foods, etc.) the body's immune system prepares itself for an attack by increasing the amounts of antibodies, macrophages, B-cells, etc., in order to counteract the harmful substances that these foods carry. The lymphatic system which ends up having to remove and neutralize much of these antigen-type substances, becomes congested as it tries to envelop them with increasing amounts of lymph fluid. This is called lymph edema.

  When I was 5 or 6, I was volunteered for a medical experiment by a doctor who was giving care for my sick sister (bad heart condition). I don't think my parents thought that it would be too bad for me. I was taken once a week, I believe, for about 3-4 penicillin shots each week, for maybe 6 weeks?, for an experiment which I know nothing about. This was to help pay for my sister's care.

• Beware of Lupron!! by Jen62
  It was definitely from the Lupron, I was in anaphylactic shock when my skin was crawling and this drug was toxic to me.  I had to let it run it's course through me.  There wasn't an organ it didn't effect, it was slowly (actually pretty quickly) shutting down my whole body. I went through hell the next 4 months until it started to slow down. The side effects were severe, my heart, thyroid, kidneys, liver, bowels, blood pressure, I was faint, weak, everything was slowly being poisoned by this toxic drug and I was dying.
  I phoned the Dr that gave me the drug and he said, it won't effect your heart, go see a heart specialist! That was it. Thanks Doc!

  Actually, mental and physical health are very much intertwined. For example, it is very difficult to be content, happy and peaceful from within if the liver, colon and kidneys are congested. Likewise, if there is an old resentment or suppressed traumatic event that has never been resolved, one cannot be happy either.

  Let me just start by saying that two of my nieces (sisters) suffered with severe eczema breakout in their infancy and have not suffered another breakout in 5 and 3 years now since we found healing for their skin. We accomplished this without the use of harmful medications and by applying a learned wisdom that we have categorized as "3 target points" for healing the skin of eczema. We found that we would need to address the internal, external and foreign in order to heal the skin completely of eczema flareups. Eczema flareups are a reflection of an immune problem.

  One of the symptoms of a Vitamin A deficiency is dry, cracked skin and dry/brittle hair. To replenish your skin and immune health, it will be necessary to drink plenty of water and eat vegetables and fruit that contain beta carotene/vitamin A. Green vegetables (like kale, collards, spinach & broccoli), carrots, squash, romaine/green lettuce, sweet potatoes, and grapefruit are good sources of beta carotene/vitamin A. However, supplementing your diet with vitamins, while at the same time eating and drinking things that cause havoc to the immune system (such as, soft drinks & processed foods/sugars), will not produce the same healthy effect. A word of caution: just as the body can reflect symptoms of disease through vitamin deficiencies, it can also reflect disease through vitamin overdose.

  Regarding your doctors statement that there is no cure for eczema, please be aware that the statement does not mean that your skin can't be healed of eczema. My oldest niece has been eczema free for five years now. She was told that there was no cure as well; however she has been free of severe eczema a majority of her life. She has no recollection of her suffering; despite the severity, because her healing came quickly and has endured for a majority of her life. We identified the allergen that was affecting my nieces, we restored the moisture barrier to their skin with the Burt's Bees Buttermilk lotion, and we made sure to introduce a healthy diet into their systems (plenty of water, fruit, and vegetables/no soft drinks or junk foods). This is what I call addressing the eczema on three fronts: internal (immune health), external (skin care), and foreign (identification of allergen/irritant). The eczema flareup is a message from your body alerting you of a toxic invasion to your system. Water flushes the toxins from your blood stream and replenishes your skin's moisture barrier. Fruits and vegetables absorb the toxins in your body and promote their elimination from your system through regular bowel movements.

  Surgery is not a great answer, it sets you up for further complications due to decreased power of digestion. There are plenty of herbs that will serve to tighten tissues and soothe them at the same time. Chief among these are aloe vera juice, marshmallow, slippery elm. You can drink 1/2 cup of the AV juice 3x daily for 3-5 days. The other two can be taken as herbal teas or tinctures. If you want to make your own tea, be sure to use the steep method rather than the boiling method to preserve the oils.

  Unfortunately its not just my father who believes that the only problems I have are mental ones. The same goes for my mother and my sister and every single other person I've talked to for the last 2 years. Excepting two dentists. I got out of the psychiatric hospital in November 02 and I haven't spoken a word to my father since. He has done nothing to help me out in any way what-so-ever. His opinion is that as long as I don't accept the treatment that I 'need' (anti-psychotic medication etc.) the situation I'm in must be of my own choosing.

  This guy, Ryan Levinson, has the same dystrophy I have. He said the docs told him "don't overdo it" with exercise. There haven't been any studies to document this admonishment, but that's what the docs tell all of us with FSHD. This guy decided to see what happened if he did "overdo it." He measured his fitness levels at San Diego State U's Dept. of Exercise and Nutritional Science. Since last year, his body fat has decreased, his lean muscle mass has increased, his VO2 max (measures the amt. of oxygen the body can utilize) increased, and he's gaining leg strength, power and endurance.

  I met my doc especially to show him my stones of flush no 6 ( I have not been in treatment any more for nearly a year, but he always likes my reports of what I have found out). He found the idea of liver-stones and getting rid of them by means of liver flush very exciting and told me, that in autopsies, he had sometimes seen something like that. That gave me the opportunity to ask him why pathologists did not make a big noise around these stones. Hs answer was very enlightening to me: He guessed, that these stones disintegrate after death and that they are only rarely found in autopsies.  That could be an explanation (among others), why the medical community doesn't accept the fact of liver-stones.

The girl may be flirting with other men because she has fears about you cheating on her and subconsciously wants to remind you that she is a catch, and that if you don't go for her others will. Sometimes when girls feel insecure they flirt with other men, it's an extroverted response to an internal problem. Some women who do this respond well to a take charge approach, when she begins with other men just go over take her hand and bring her closer to you / away from him, begin dancing and toughing her.   one of my closest friends had her gallbladder removed today... they took much longer than expected with the surgery and when the surgeon finally appeared, he explained to her husband that when he got in for a look, he found a massive infection... on top of that he said she had some adhesions on her liver that he removed, and when he went to take the gallbladder it fell apart (which i think means that she got bile spilled all through her, right?)... he said he had to remove it in pieces and then clean the infection out of her (never mentioned the bile clean up if there was one).. I just don't see how he wouldn't have spilled the bile too... anyway, this couple totally depends on this surgeon and his word to them, even though I tried to get her to consider a liver flush when she had her attack...

  For anyone suffering with acne, please try the cleanses recommended here and change your diet...then if you want to test, go back to eating junk and see what your skin does. I've yet to complete a liver flush, but am working on diet and bowel cleansing...my self-discipline comes in waves and sometimes I fall off and eat crap. But each time I get back on track it seems to last a bit longer.

  Well, as of 3 weeks ago, I began using ground flax seed and the change from the prune juice is mind boggling. I'm having regular movements, several times a day (average of 5 or so) and for the first time in nearly a year, I'm feeling "clean", like I don't have waste within me. I don't have the urgent feeling that prune juice would induce and I just feel "normal" again. It's great. It only took half a day for the flax seed to take effect for me. Taking Owen's advice, I've purchased golden organic flax seed and a coffee grinder. Every day, I take two ground tablespoons in the morning with some cranberry juice for a mini breakfast and then three more tablespoons at night, a bit before bed.

  Governments basically mirror collective consciousness, or all the individual karmic and non-karmic experiences of the population. Those things we don't like in a government are the very things we need to see in our collective mirror. Votes don't elect new leaders. The people's consciousness determines who gets elected. Those who are against a particular candidate may actually contribute to him becoming elected. They may need to experience what they are most afraid of or concerned about.
