Maybe it's the expectation to cure that cures and not the cure itself.

I have noticed the exact same thing. I agree with you 100%. I started thinking of all the pain I was in emotionally and how much pain physically on my face and I started thinking, maybe this is my bodies way of releasing that pain. So I started taking yoga and meditating and I think it has helped alot. Also praying and doing affirmations and rejecting acne instead of accepting and dealing with it. I walk around saying, 'I have such beautiful clear skin, wow! just look at it' and feel that positivity about myself. I think it's made a difference in my face but even more so in my perspective towards myself an how I feel. I'm not so depressed or focused on what do I need to do to clear up my skin. As far as my mind is concerned, my skin is already clear. My body just has to catch up. I think it is very much like a self-fulfilling prophecy where what you expect is what you get and it is a vicous cycle. But I had been wondering if the liver flushes worked so well because people expected them to and also what the faith of people who were able to cure their acne was like. Maybe it's the expectation to cure that cures and not the cure itself.
