However, I am not claiming I have found the ultimate truth based on a muddled, second, third and forth hand collection writings that have been rummaged through, cherry picked and slap-dashed back together. (now THERE is an analogy for you!)
*grin*
In fact I am not claiming I have found the ultimate truth at all. Only a wondrous personal truth that works in my life.

I don't.
Much we need to take on faith. And that is fine. However knowledge and an open mind plays a big part too. I have studied long and hard and base my views of the original least tampered with, least paganized, least filled with agendas of long dead orthodox church fathers versions. (How could theses writing be debased by centuries of tampering? ...they had been hidden away or buried in the ground for almost 2000 years). All of the Christian writings have some point to prove, or some ax to grind, however I prefer to avoid the one that were the descended from the Apostle Paul and his crowd.
In fact, I largely discount the whole new testament bible and what has become in the west, the Apostolic succession. I have directed my energies elsewhere. (and for good reason)

"With the Word of God inspired by God claiming to be Truth(and absolutely unchanging in that attribute) and given thru men He deemed righteous and preserved by God, then a person can certainly have the right track to wisdom found only in Him. One is only enlightened when coming face to face with the Words of Light and embracing them as given...Truth."
So YOU say. I don't buy it. Sorry.
(of course, I do not believe ANY writings of any religion are the 'word of God'. They may be divinely inspired, but they are the words of men. Period.)
