Fasting is about detoxing. I would say okay to tea, but absolutely no flavored waters, diet coke or splenda. These are the kinds of pollutants we are striving to rid the body of. To sweeten your tea use honey or sucanat. If you are finding the water too difficult alternate juice fasting with heathful juice made in a juicer. Give yourself the benefit of a pure fast and don't add commercial sweeteners or diet coke. Good Luck on your quest and be good to yourself. Fasting is not so much about weightloss, but more about detoxing. Take Care :)
