I would get to a butcher and purchase raw marrow bones. If the dogs start to eat rocks, firmly but gently say "no" "drop", then present the marrow bone and when he takes it give him "happy" praise. Make it a big deal. They need to learn what is ok to eat and what isn't. This is how I trained my dogs and I am able to even get them to drop food they may pick up while we are on our walks.
