Last year I took Mebendazole. Worst mistake EVER! The parasites in the gut scattered everywhere and caused a nightmare of a problem that I'm deal with -- a systemic problem. When they hand you the meds and reading the entire lists of dos, don'ts or whatever -- there is NOTHING about scattering parasites throughout your body.

If you want to take this med, I'd suggest that you do some reading. The over-the-counter PinX or Combutrin might be able to help. The drug is pyrantal (sp? sorry, I'm a bit tired now.) This drug helps because it has a neuromuscular inhabitor that prevents them from moving around, and its suppose to prevent the glucose uptake that the parasites use to thrive on.

The better alternative to Mebendazole is Albendazole/Albenza. The other great thing about Albenza is that it can cross the blood brain barrier (BBB), where Meb doesn't! Make sure you eat something containing fat so that it can carry the drugs to the appropriate places. Albenza works well with Piperazine. Piperazine and pyrantal sort of work in the same manner.

Again, do your research. You'll be better off!
