My Iodine Experience

I started reading this forum a few months back. I originally started taking Kelp. I took Kelp and Dulse for about 4-5 weeks. During this time I had many positive changes with my period. I had been experiencing periods of up to 3 weeks for about 10 months. As soon as I started taking Kelp, I stopped bleeding.

A little family history. My Mother had a goiter removed when she was pregnant with my younger brother, my brother is 1 1/2 years younger than me, and I believe that my mother must have been very iodine deficient when she was pregnant with me.

My mother died from Breast Cancer , as did her sister. My oldest sister has had 2 bouts with breast cancer, she is currently in remission. The next youngest sister had severe fibro-cystic breast disease and had a complete mastectomy because of this.

My sister that is just a couple of years older than I has very bad fibro-cystic breast disease and about a year ago her voice started to change and she kind of speaks in a whisper. The doctor has diagnosed this as a thyroid problem and put her on meds.

With this family history and after thorough research, I decided to start Lugols, and started out taking a couple of drops per day, I had many detox symptoms, after reading High on Water's experience, I ordered the detoxified Iodine. I have been taking that for about 6 weeks.

After 6 weeks on the Detoxified Iodine, I have started painting with Lugols, and I have ordered Iodoral and have just received that in the mail today. I will start taking it in the next few weeks.

Positives that I have noticed so far:

Wake up in the morning with lots of energy and much happier frame of mind.
Breasts that were extremely painful are much less so, the pain is not completely gone, but is much less.
My last 2 periods have been 28-30 days apart and only last about 3 days
Brain Function - Much more clarity - Memory greatly improved
Skin much softer
I have used the iodine on a couple of moles, skin tags and one of the skin tags has fallen off, the moles may take a bit longer.

I believe that Iodine may give me a much longer and fuller life, and I want to thank those of you who have contributed to this forum, because although you may not always realize it you ARE saving lives.

Next I will tell you my husband's experiences, IF he gives me permission:)
