      Hi Laura. I too am a first year nursing student. I haven't had the Heb B vaccine, even though I have been told that I 'should' have it, that it could affect my placement and possibly mean I must leave the course. I've just refused to have the vaccine and haven't heard anything yet about being chucked off the course.

      I hope you recover your health and I agree with you that no career is worth damaging our health for.

      Other than this Hep B vaccine, I am loving every minute of this nursing course. It's a great profession and the people in it are mostly wonderful.
