Re: Can epsom salts be used as a source of magnesium?

I hear so much about what is a "good source" of many vitamins and minerals, but for one who wants to really know how much they are taking in, this is not helpful enough! I realize that amounts of nutrients vary with the soil and other factors so it's probably not very realistic to compile a table of this.

It sounds to me like if one eats enough plant foods, one will not be magnesium deficient?

I also have been adding a pinch of epsoms to my salt water, not really knowing if I'm doing anything but figuring a pinch won't hurt me anyway.

I also worry when supplementing a few minerals or vitamins that I will throw everything out of balance and end up with some serious problems. I try to get most of my nutrients from food but have been doing the vitamin C, selenium, etc. protocol with the iodine.
