If you have hyperglycemia, or a diabetic condition,
it is not recommended at all that you use maple
syrup. According to the book, you should substitute
unsulphured blackstrap molasses instead of the maple
syrup.

If you have not read the book, I can suggest that you
should. You can get an e-copy on line by googling
"Master Cleanse pdf". We are advised not to post a
link on the forum but you can find it easily.

I do well with 10 glasses of the lemonade. I do not
think I would do well with 6 glasses. Perhaps later
in the cleanse when I grow weary of the lemonade for
a day or two, I may drink less, but for the most part,
I like to stay in the high end. I find I am more
comfortable and my caloric needs are met much better
with the more than the minimum amount. I also will
include a spoon of molasses by mouth when my cravings
hit, or my energy flags. I average 1-2 tablespoons of
molasses each day.

It is important to get in plenty of pure water in
addition to the lemonade. Sipping is preferable to
chugging too. A good rule of thumb is matching your
lemonades although drinking half your body weight in
ounces of water is the recommended amount. It is not
necessarily good to drink more water than that...

You can also have peppermint tea which also helps
to neutralize toxins, and is calming for the tummy.
Again, you would want to use stevia or molasses as
a sweetener if you use one.
