I'm not a Doctor but I have read a lot about HPV. Yes from what I've read the strain that can cause cervical cancer in women is a different strain than the type that causes visible warts. I think you should just get regular pap smears (twice a year)and go on with your life. If abnormal cells are detected early then they can be treated before cancer develops. Also only a very small percentage of Women with HPV ever develop pre cancerous cells. If your diet and lifestyle are healthy and your immune system is strong then it's even less likely you would ever have any problems. All diseases and cancers are really just caused by a weak immune system which in my opinion is caused by a poor diet and lack of excercise. In other words everybody has the potential to develop cancer but some people's immune systems don't allow it to develop while others do.
