Chronic right lower abdominal pain ... (what is it?)

About 9 months ago I ate a very heavy meal spaghetti and meatballs (I ate alot).

So a few hours later I had to go #2. And it was difficult for me; as I was going to the bathroom I felt a pushing out sensation in my right lower abdomen (like from the inside). Ever since then I have had pain around that area; comes and goes but sometimes gets more intense.

The pain varies on location ie sometimes it feels as if it is near or underneath that tendon that goes from the pelvis to the groin; and sometimes it feels as if it is just diagonal from the navel.

About 6 months ago I went to the doctor and had him check for a hernia and do a ct scan on my abdomin. Nothing was found on the scan. But obviously I still have discomfort (and pain) and it feels like it is getting worse.

It seems like I have less pain when I sleep on my back (I always sleep on my side). And if I eat way too much I do have an increase in pain. Other then that I cant tell what makes it worse or better.

Basically from what I read its most likely one of the following:
1. Hernia (maybe inguinal)
2. Diverticulitis
3. Something with the illial-cecal valve (but I have tried various massaging techniques and I notice no changes with this).
4 or something else ... is there such a thing as chronic appendisitis?

Whats your take?
(I'm willing to try any type of diet to figure this out or help cure it) - (atm I am eating a only whole fruit and veggie diet (so far day 7 with no change in my symptoms).
